Information about the tailored support available to final year students and recent graduates.

Graduate Employability Advisers

The team supports final year students and graduates in securing graduate-level employment, by offering support with job searching, tailoring CVs and applications and help with interview techniques. As students/graduates may not always be able to come onto campus to see an Adviser face to face, particularly if you have moved away from the Birmingham area, we can support you via email, telephone appointments and via LinkedIn.

What support is available?

Your faculty specific Graduate Employability Adviser can offer you:

  • 1 to 1 support with job applications and interview preparation including the check & send job application service
  • Enhanced job matching and faculty specific job bulletins - alerting you to opportunities available in your area of interest
  • Weekly sessions covering personal branding, writing effective CVs, applications and interviews, job searching and effective networking
  • Access to regular events, giving you the chance to meet with employers and discover the opportunities available including careers fairs and speed recruitment events
